Q: Can I count summer volunteering toward my points for this semester?
A: Yes, if you are a 7th or 8th grader. Make sure to take that into consideration when you set your semester goal.
Q: Is this assignment for a grade?
A: ISPs and Advanced Reading presentations are graded using rubrics and feedback from your peers and me. Other assignments, such as those in Model UN, are expected to be completed thoroughly, and you will be expected to make revisions as needed.
Q: How do I find out my grade in guided studies?
A: No letter grades are given for guided studies. You should have ample feedback from us on all of your projects, however. Also, we will continue to complete quarterly feedback sheets.
Q: What are other extra credit opportunities?
A: Aside from what's listed here on the website, the best way to approach this question in to talk to all your teachers about offering you extensions. Most teachers are supportive of students who want to go above and beyond the basic requirements!
